Cesc fancies England's chances
Spain star Cesc Fabregas has admitted that England could well win next year's World Cup in South Africa.
The Arsenal midfielder has been impressed by England's form under Fabio Capello, displays that have seen the Three Lions record seven World Cup qualifying wins out of seven to virtually assure their place at next year's global extravaganza.
Although Euro 2008 champions Spain are among the favourites to land football's biggest prize, Fabregas is adamant that England will push them all the way.
"You can see England have a great team. We know that well and with Fabio Capello they've improved a lot," he told The Sun newspaper.
"Their play is more compact, their defence has made it more difficult to score against them and they will be one of the major candidates for the World Cup, I'm sure.
"England have always been dangerous in attack and strong in defence, but now they also touch the ball more in midfield.
"They are more complete and not playing only long balls. They will be tough opponents.
"Spain respects everyone, but we know that if we continue at this level we can win more."
