Keller commits to Utrecht
Defender Sander Keller has signed a contract extension at FC Utrecht which will keep him at the club for another three seasons.
Keller has been at Utrecht since 1999 having come through the youth academy at Ajax, although he was on loan at RBC Roosendaal between 2000 and 2003.
The 29-year-old told the club's website: "Utrecht is entering a new phase. They've showed that by the new signings they have made.
"I see (the new contract) as a form of appreciation and I am looking forward to starting on Saturday in a renewed team."
New technical director Foeke Booy added: "We appreciate him a lot as a player and in fact he has spent almost his entire footballing life at FC Utrecht.
"He did well as a central defender last season and he is very valuable at corners and free-kicks."
Keller scored five goals last season as Utrecht finished ninth. Since the end of season the club have signed Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Jacob Mulenga and Nana Asare.
