Germany U21's 2-0 Finland U21's
Germany won after second-half goals by Benedikt Howedes and Ashkan Dejagah saw them claim a 2-0 victory over Finland in Orjans Vall.
Mehud Ozil provided both goals, whipping in a free-kick that Howedes converted in the 59th minute and two minutes later laying the ball off to Dejagah who simply had to slot home.
The Finns started well and Jukka Raitala hit a powerful half-volley from 25 yards which Manuel Neuer beat out.
Calamitous defending by the Finns was then nearly punished but Gonzalo Castro could not find the target.
Marin was fortunate to stay on after a studs-up challenge on Finnish keeper Anssi Jaakkola who saved Patrick Ebert's long-range shot.
The Germans went ahead when Ozil sent in a curling free-kick which an unmarked Howedes headed home.
Two minutes later Ozil broke the offside trap and provided Dejagah with a simple tap-in to seal victory and top spot above England who were shortly to kick off against Spain.
