Hamburg pair to resolve differences
The two main decision-makers at Bundesliga outfit Hamburg will meet on Monday in a bid to iron out their differences.
Director of sport Dietmar Beiersdorfer and chairman Bernd Hoffmann no longer see eye to eye and have become embroiled in a power struggle, according to the Hamburger Abendblatt newspaper.
Horst Becker, chairman of the club's advisory board, confirmed there are problems to resolve.
He said: "Dietmar has informed me in a long talk about the different views and differences he has with Bernd Hoffmann."
Beiersdorfer elaborated: "There are different views both in the way we work and in where our responsibilities lie.
"These could no longer be resolved at board level."
The wrangle means new coach Bruno Labbadia has yet to spend a single cent since taking over and, while his superiors continue to fight, there can be no agreement over who he can or cannot sign.
Monday's meeting should enable the northern club to begin preparations for the new season, with the squad due to report back to training on July 4.
