Marseille are on the verge of signing Bordeaux defender Souleymane Diawara and Besiktas midfielder Edouard Cisse.

The players will undergo medicals before joining Didier Deschamps' revolution at Stade Velodrome, which has already seen the capture of Argentina midfielder Lucho Gonzalez from Porto.

Diawara, 30, will join on a four-year deal with Cisse, 31, handed a two-year contract.

Cisse joins on a Bosman free transfer while Diawara is likely to cost around five million euros.
