Wichniarek back at Hertha

Wichniarek back at Hertha

Hertha Berlin have re-signed striker Artur Wichniarek from second-tier side Arminia Bielefeld for an undisclosed fee.

The Polish striker played just under three years for Hertha from 2003 after arriving from Bielefeld, the club he then rejoined in January 2006.

Last year, he was Bielefeld's top scorer with 13 goals, although this was not enough to save the East Westphalians from relegation to the second division.

The 32-year-old has signed a two-year contract with Berlin, for whom he scored four goals in 44 appearances.

He has totalled 49 goals in 196 Bundesliga appearances between the two clubs.
