Paris St Germain have confirmed they have temporarily suspended midfielder Jerome Rothen for comments made about the club in a recent interview.

The club called a meeting with the France international today to ask him to explain his comments which appeared in Wednesday's edition of sports daily L'Equipe and which also led to Rothen being jeered at by fans at training today.

PSG announced that Rothen's full punishment would be decided next week.
