Pacheco takes charge at Al Shabab

Jaime Pacheco has signed a one-year contract to coach Saudi Arabia King's Cup champions Al Shabab.

Pacheco, who represented Portugal at the 1984 European Championships and 1986 World Cup, replaces Argentinian Enzo Hector, who left after May's domestic cup triumph.

Pacheco, 50, won the Portuguese SuperLiga title with Boavista in 2001 and led them to the UEFA Cup semi-finals in 2003 after a playing career which featured spells at Porto and Sporting Lisbon.
