Zenit slow Moscow's progress

FC Moscow missed the chance to move within a point of league leaders Rubin Kazan after a 1-0 defeat at Zenit St Petersburg.

Ivica Krizanac scored the only goal after 56 minutes to push Zenit up to fourth, a point behind their third-placed opponents.

Struggling Spartak Nalchik earned a point in a 2-2 draw at Kuban Krasnodar thanks to a last-minute goal from Artem Kontsevoy.

Artur Tlisov and Dramane Traore twice put the home side ahead but a Leandro penalty and Kontsevoy's late effort saw the spoils shared.

Today's other game, between Lokomotiv Moscow and Tomsk, finished goalless.
