A first-minute goal from Peter Graulund earned AGF Aurhus a 1-0 victory over AaB to claim second place in the initial SAS-Ligaen standings.

The Aarhus club beat their Aalborg rivals to go in behind Nordsjaelland, who opened up with a 2-0 victory over reigning champions FC Copenhagen.

Sonderjyske and Brondby were also opening-round victors and have an identical record to AGF.
