AIK miss chance to go third

AIK missed a chance to close the gap on the Allsvenskan leaders as they could only claim a point against struggling GAIS.

Starting the night with a chance to go third, AIK conceded twice in the space of three minutes as Tommy Lycen and Par Eriksson put GAIS in a seemingly commanding position six minutes before the break.

Martin Kayongo struck back immediately in the 40th minute, but AIK had to wait until 13 minutes before time for Mauro Obolo to salvage a point which leaves them fifth.

They still have a healthy five-point cushion over sixth-placed Orebro, however, as they went down 3-1 at home to Hacken, who have closed to within a point in seventh.

Jonas Henricksson was the hat-trick hero for Hacken, his 56th-minute strike ultimately settling it after Roni Porokara had cut their lead to one with the Orebro goal a minute before half-time.

Orgryte have finally collected their first win of the season, with Marcus Allback's third-minute goal all they needed to beat fellow strugglers Hammarby away from home.

The win gives them just six points from 15 games.

Malmo and Halmstads played to a 0-0 draw.
