Sol Campbell is set to be unveiled as a player-coach at League Two side Notts County.

The veteran defender will be announcing his decision at a press conference later today which will see him be reunited with former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson. Eriksson is new director of football with the Magpies.

Campbell has been without a club since his release by Portsmouth and has been linked with a move back to Arsenal as well as Notts County and Newcastle.

According to the BBC, Campbell has already agreed personal terms with club.

Campbell would be Eriksson's biggest signing since arriving at the club following the takeover by a Middle Eastern consortium.

The Swede has also signed promising goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, a player he managed at Manchester City.
