A last-minute goal from Hwang Jae-won gave 10-man Pohang Steelers a thrilling 3-2 win over K-League leaders FC Seoul to move the hosts to within four places of the summit.

The match was a re-arranged fixture from September as the two sides were then busy with Asian Champions League commitments.

Pohang, who have reached the last four of the continental competition, took the lead straight from the kick-off through in-form striker Stevica Ristic.

Hwang Jin-sung slipped a pass into the penalty area and the Macedonian marksman rolled the ball past Kim Ho-jun in the Seoul goal.

Midway through the first half, Pohang saw Brazilian star Denilson sent off when the striker's complaints over a booking earned him a second yellow.

Pohang moved further ahead on the hour mark when Noh Byung-joo broke free down the left and his low cross was converted by Kim Jung-kyum.

Seoul were then also reduced to 10 men in the second half as Kim Sung-yung was dismissed for a bad tackle, but they stunned Pohang as they hit back with two goals in two minutes shortly before the end.

First came a fine header from Brazilian striker Anderson and then seconds later, Celtic-bound Ki Sung-yong danced into the box and fired home.

But with a draw looking likely, a Pohang free-kick was blocked and Hwang pounced on the rebound to fire a low shot just inside the post.

"It was great to score the winning goal right at the end," Hwang said.

"We expected a tough match especially after we went down to 10 men but we worked hard and ended up with a great result."
