Sochaux vs Lorient Preview
Defender Arnaud Le Lan is determined to make the most of his run in the Lorient team in the absence of Jeremy Morel.
Le Lan has been filling in on the left for the injured Jeremy Morel and will again take his place for the trip to Montbeliard to face Sochaux in Ligue 1.
The 31-year-old, who impressed last time out in the 4-1 win over Nice, knows he must be unselfish.
He told www.fclweb.fr: "You must sacrifice yourself for the team when you're replacing someone and make sure the team is not disadvantaged when they call on you."
After high-profile matches against Paris Germain, Toulouse and Nice - a run which brought Lorient seven points and has taken them sixth, three points off the top of the table - tomorrow's appointment could be seen as something of a step down.
But Le Lan expects the challenge from Sochaux, who beat Lyon last time out, to be as difficult as any.
He said: "It will be a tough game, but fun and interesting to play.
"It's harder to play the likes of Sochaux and Boulogne. This is where you see the true character of the team."
Goalkeeper Fabien Audard is in the Lorient squad, despite complaining of pains in his foot earlier in the week, while defender Franco Sosa returns from suspension.
Stephane Dalmat remains sidelined for Sochaux with a knee injury, despite an improvement this week.
Ryad Boudebouz is back from suspension, and Vaclav Sverkos has overcome knee pain to be named in the squad.
