Germany arrange Argentina fixture

Germany have lined up Argentina for a pre-World Cup warm-up match on March 3 at Munich's Allianz Arena.

The fixture will also be repeated in August 2012, according to the German Football Association (DFB).

"I am really pleased Argentina have agreed to this game," said Germany coach Joachim Low.

"Although they had a few problems in the South American World Cup qualifying campaign, they are still one of the strongest teams in the world in my eyes.

"We will have to be at our best against Argentina and the game in Munich is a real test for our team ahead of the nomination of the squad for the World Cup in South Africa."

Germany have also arranged friendly matches with Chile and Ivory Coast next month and they will stage a get-together in early 2010, when Low will assess the fitness of what is likely to be a large group of players he will have in mind for next year's World Cup.
