Any faint hopes Zenit St Petersburg had of claiming the Premier Liga title died when they were beaten 1-0 by FC Moscow.

The match was goalless until five minutes from time Alexander Shyeshukov grabbed the only goal of the game.

Third-placed Zenit are now nine points behind leaders Rubin Kazan with three games to play, ahead of their opponents on goal difference alone.

Today's other game, between Dinamo Moscow and Amkar Perm, finished goalless.
