Brazilian Josimar da Silver scored twice to send Chirag United top of the I-League with a 2-0 victory against Salgaocar SC.

Josimar opened the scoring in the 52nd minute when he tapped home from Edmilson's pass before he added a second 16 minutes later, taking advantage of a poor back-pass from Gurpreet Singh before firing home.

Chirag coach Subrata Bhattacharya said: "In football chances are created. Either you score and win or you fail. Salgaocar had their opportunities but failed and we utilised ours to come out winners."
