Shresbury 0-1 Staines
Ali Chaaban's goal helped Staines secure a deserved 1-0 win at League Two Shrewsbury in the first round of the FA Cup.
It is the fourth successive season the Shrews have been knocked out in the first round of the competition.
Chaaban weaved his way past three defenders on a 30-yard run to shoot past Chris Neal's left hand and into the far corner after 21 minutes.
Dave Hibbert headed inches over shortly afterwards but it was not a sign of a fightback by the Football League side who were completely disjointed and never threatened Louis Wells in the Staines goal.
Shrewsbury had promised all week that they would never repeat the humiliation of defeat a year ago by Blyth Spartans, but this was equally as humiliating against a team who could easily have had more than one goal.
Substitute Dean Thomas headed over a gaping goal 10 minutes from time and at the final whistle the handful of Staines supporters invaded the pitch to congratulate their heroes.
