Robson warns against complacency

Bryan Robson has warned against complacency ahead of Thailand's 2011 AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Singapore at the Rajamangala Stadium.

Thailand beat Singapore 3-1 on Saturday in Robson's first game in charge to claim a first win of the qualifying campaign and a win tomorrow would move them to the top of the group ahead of unbeaten Iran, who face Jordan on Saturday.

Robson will be without goalkeeper Kosin Hathairattanakool and left-back Natthaphong Samana through suspension, while Surat Sukha is struggling with a hamstring injury.

"I don't want slackness to creep in because Singapore are a good team and they will punish us if we think the game is going to be simple," said former Manchester United and England captain Robson.

"Singapore will want to bounce back. We have utmost respect for them and we know that they were disappointed with their performance, and the result, so they will want to come back and prove themselves."

Opposite number Radojko Avramovic has backed Singapore to bounce back from a second defeat in Group E with victory tomorrow which would lift them into second ahead of Thailand with two games remaining with the top two securing a place at the finals in Qatar.

With Noh Alam Shah suspended, Avramovic indicated the influential forward would be replaced by Mohammad Khairul.

"If you look at the positions in the group, it's an advantage for anyone taking three points. We slipped in Singapore and it's up to us to try to make this game more difficult for Thailand and achieve what we want," he said.

"I don't think we are in a difficult situation, the game in Singapore is forgotten, it's over and it's a new game and I'm sure both teams will fight hard."
