Nancy 0-3 Bordeaux
A dominant performance saw Bordeaux beat Nancy to move two points clear of Auxerre at the top of the Ligue 1 table.
Fernando's goal put Laurent Blanc's side 1-0 up at the interval and they pressed on relentlessly in the second half, Wendel's solo effort and Yoan Gouffran's fierce strike earning them an emphatic victory.
Nancy rarely threatened and were grateful to keeper Gennaro Bracigliano for keeping the score down, but they did make a bright start.
Jordan Loties' cross gave Issiar Dia an early sight of goal, but Cedric Carrasso made an excellent save to keep out the forward's header.
The visitors went ahead midway through the first period when Gouffran crossed from the right and Alou Diarra dummied the ball for Fernando to sidefoot firmly past Bracigliano.
Dia threatened once more with a shot on the turn but Carrasso gathered comfortably to preserve his side's lead into the break.
Bracigliano made a superb double save from Gouffran's vicious drive and Wendel's follow-up in the opening minute of the second half.
Bordeaux again went close five minutes later as Wendel played in Marouane Chamakh and Bracigliano denied the Moroccan from point-blank range.
But the keeper could not deny the impressive Wendel on the hour mark, after a wonderful run from the Brazilian saw him beat Loties and Andre Luiz before clipping the ball neatly over the advancing Bracigliano.
That eased any remaining nerves for the visitors and they were able to play out the match in complete control.
Gouffran added a deserved gloss to the scoreline with 16 minutes remaining, drilling an effort from the right side through the legs of defender Reynald Lemaitre and in off the far post.
