Pele out for up to four months

Toulouse keeper Yohann Pele has been ruled out for up to four months with a knee injury.

The 27-year-old had to be substituted in injury time at the end of Saturday's clash with Boulogne after making a brave save to preserve his side's 1-0 lead. Pele gave way to Olivier Blondel after colliding with Boulogne's Bira Dembele.

Scans have revealed Pele ruptured his posterior cruciate ligament in the incident. He will not require surgery on the injury, but the club confirmed he faces between three and four months on the sidelines.

It is a further blow for the 6ft 5in shot-stopper after he fractured a hand earlier in the campaign and he has played only eight matches this season.

In revealing the news on their website, the club added: "We wish him a swift recovery."
