NAC Breda 2-2 Sparta Rotterdam
Sparta Rotterdam came from behind to steal a point after a topsy-turvy encounter with NAC Breda.
The visitors took an undeserved lead through Erik Falkenburg before NAC turned the game around through Leonardo and Patrick Zwaanswijk.
However, striker Rydell Poepon stole a point for his side with a sublime free-kick 16 minutes from time.
NAC midfielder Robbert Schilder carved out the first chance of the night in the eighth minute when he cut inside from the left but saw his tame shot saved by Aleksander Seliga.
Leonardo continued NAC's assault, feeding Donny Gorter who could not get enough on his left-footed effort. Csaba Feher fed Gorter in the 18th minute but the attacker's effort was poor.
Then, completely against the run of play, Sparta scored in the 24th minute.
NAC were in possession but gave the ball away to Falkenburg cheaply. There did not appear to be too much danger but the Sparta man forced his way into the box and rifled home beyond Jelle Ten Rouwelaar.
Sparta held on until the break and there was little action after the restart until the 68th minute, when the home side levelled.
Substitute Joonas Kolkka did well to work his way into space on the right and centred for Leonardo to convert with his head.
Two minutes later Kolkka created another for NAC. Again the winger crossed from the right and this time it was centre-half Zwaanswijk who was perfectly placed to head past Seliga and give his side the lead.
The home fans were joyous but it was short-lived.
In the 74th minute the visitors claimed a barely-deserved point. Awarded a free-kick around 40 yards out, Poepon smashed it with his right foot and wheeled away in delight as it flew into the top right corner.
