Sparta Prague 0-3 FC Copenhagen

Striker Dame N'Doye scored twice as FC Copenhagen progressed to the Europa League round of 32.

N'Doye, the match-winner in the first Group K contest between the sides, was unmarked as he headed in the opener after 21 minutes before he capitalised on more poor defending to sneak behind the Sparta defence and nod in a diving header after 30 minutes.

Jesper Gronkjaer struck a third from the penalty spot after 54 minutes following a foul on N'Doye and Sparta's night became even worse when Manuel Pamic was dismissed for a second bookable offence.

The visitors, requiring a draw to progress behind PSV Eindhoven, had the better of the early exchanges at the Generali Arena.

N'Doye had an effort blocked by Lubos Husek after eight minutes and Jaromir Blazek was forced into a save by William Kvist after 11 minutes before Wilfred had a header saved by Johan Wiland.

Wilfred then shot wide from the left edge of the area and Kvist missed at the other end before the visitors took the lead.

Husek fouled Gronkjaer and Martin Vingaard pumped the resulting free-kick long into the Sparta area.

N'Doye was allowed to rise unchallenged to meet the ball 10 yards out and headed across goal for the opener.

Pamic had two optimistic long-range efforts which flew off target before Copenhagen scored a second.

Again Sparta's defending was poor as Vingaard crossed from the left and N'Doye stole in behind the defence unmarked before stooping to head into the bottom corner.

Blazek then saved from Kvist as Sparta survived until the interval.

Juraj Kucka saw a header comfortably held by Wiland before Wilfred also failed to test the Copenhagen goalkeeper early in the second period.

Sparta then went further behind when N'Doye was tripped recklessly by Niklas Hoheneder as he turned in the penalty area.

Gronkjaer took the resulting spot-kick and sent Blazek the wrong way to end the match as a contest.

The dismissal of Pamic for the Czech side after 61 minutes was further salt in the wounds, while Martin Zeman had a free-kick turned around the post by Wiland as Copenhagen continued to hold firm.

N'Doye was twice denied by Blazek in quick succession as he sought his hat-trick and Ailton Almeida hit the bar late on as Copenhagen continued to press forward.
