Adrian Bevington, the Football Association's long-serving communications chief, is to move to a new role after the World Cup.

Bevington, who has been communications director during the tenures of Fabio Capello, Steve McClaren and Sven-Goran Eriksson, is to become managing director of Club England.

In his new role he will assume responsibility for the operation of and arrangements for all England teams.

Bevington will be at Capello's side for press conferences at the World Cup this summer, however, before he changes jobs.

The FA said in a statement: "Following this summer's World Cup, the Football Association's director of communications, Adrian Bevington, will take on a new role as Club England managing director.

"He will be reporting directly to the chief executive, Ian Watmore, and working closely with Michelle Farrer, director of Club England team operations.

"Adrian will provide executive management team responsibilities and stakeholder management for all England representative teams of any age, gender, disability or type of football."

Capello and assistant Franco Baldini will continue to report directly to FA chairman Lord Triesman and Watmore. All other coaches will continue to report to director of football Sir Trevor Brooking.

The FA say they will shortly be advertising for the post of director of marketing & communications.
