Grenoble 1-3 Bordeaux

Ligue 1 leaders Bordeaux came from behind following the sending-off of Grenoble's Jimmy Juan to avoid a major upset.

Basement club Grenoble dominated the first half and deservedly led through Laurent Batlles' injury-time strike.

But Juan received his marching orders two minutes after the interval and his side paid the price as Yoan Gouffran, Marouane Chamakh and Fernando Cavenaghi earned the visitors the points.

Both clubs threatened early on, with home keeper Jody Viviani gathering Mathieu Chalme's cross-shot before Nicolas Dieuze fired wide at the other end.

But Grenoble, with just one win to their name all season, took control and twice went close before their opener.

Laurent Courtois crashed a volley against the post after Nassim Akrour chested Jean Calve's pass into his path 25 yards out, and Akrour was denied by Benoit Tremoulinas' goal-line clearance after meeting Daniel Ljuboja's cross.

But Ljuboja was again the provider on the stroke of half-time, squaring the ball across goal for Batlles to finish superbly.

The game turned, though, when Juan - booked in the second minute - received his second yellow card for a dangerous tackle on Jussie and Bordeaux capitalised with two quickfire goals.

First Tremoulinas crossed for Gouffran to head past Viviani at the near post (52) and, three minutes later, Chalme's delivery was nodded into the top corner by Chamakh.

Gouffran went close to a second when his long-range drive flashed narrowly wide.

And the league leaders put the result beyond doubt seven minutes from time when another ball in from Tremoulinas picked out Cavenaghi, the Argentinian finishing hard and low past Viviani.
