Brazilian midfielder Fernando looks set to commit his future to Bordeaux.

Serie A side Genoa have been strongly linked with the player but with the Ligue 1 leaders not eager to sell a new deal is instead on the table.

"I will stay in Bordeaux," Fernando told L'Equipe.

"The club has refused all offers and there is a final meeting scheduled with the bosses on my extension at the end of next week."

In-demand forward Marouane Chamakh, reportedly trailed by English Premier League duo Liverpool and Arsenal among others, was less clear over his future.

"I have not extended (my deal)," he said.

"I will know more this weekend when I have talked with my advisors but I believe that things must be said quickly."
