The list of Iranians having a crack at the Bundesliga continues with Sheys Rezaei undergoing trials with VFB Stuttgart.

24-year-old Rezaei who has been capped six times for Iran, is a right back by trade but is capable of plying higher up the park.

Rezaei’s performances came to the fore when he captured the Iranian league title with Tehran giants Persepolis in May this year.

VFB Stuttgart’s fall from grace has been quite spectacular with the club claiming the Bundesliga title two years ago but then plummeting to sixth place in the league standings last season after a disastrous second half of the season.

Should Rezaei sign on with the German outfit, he will become the latest in a long line of Iranian players to ply their trade in Germany and could face fellow internationals Mehdi Mahdavikia and Vahid Hashemian on the pitch next season.
