Iran line up Egypt friendly

Iran will play African champions Egypt to prepare for the fourth and final round of 2010 FIFA World Cup Asian qualifiers.

Ali Daei’s charges were drawn into Group B in the qualifiers along side Korea Republic, Saudi Arabia, DPR Korea and UAE, will begin their campaign against Saudi Arabia away on September 6.

The Egypt game will take place on August 20 in Dubai.

The Iran Football Association has chalked out a hectic schedule for the team including training camps in Spain and Czech Republic.

The team will play three friendly games against clubs sides during their camp in Spain starting on July 10 while they will fly to Czech Republic on July 20 and will play two friendlies with local clubs.

Team Melli will also take part in the West Asian Championship to be played in Tehran from August 7 to 16 while Egypt are preparing for their crucial 2010 World Cup/African Nations Cup qualifier against DR Congo.
