Arsenal's Denilson out to impress

Arsenal midfielder Denilson has revealed that it is time for him to show just what he can do in the Premier League.

Denilson, who is still waiting to make his first international start for Brazil's senior team, joined the Gunners in 2006, and has thus far been reduced to bit part roles, notably in the Carling Cup, for Arsene Wenger's side.

The 20-year-old is however now ready to make himself a regular at the Emirates.

"It is time for me to show what I can do," the former Sao Paulo star explained.

"The coach (Wenger) is giving me opportunities and I know I have to make the most of them.

"I am more mature now that I am in my third season."

Denilson, an Arsenal debutant against Sheffield United at the tail end of 2006, also took time out to comment on Eduardo da Silva's recuperation.

The Croatia international is still recovering that he suffered whilst playing for Arsenal against Birmingham City last season, but Denilson is adamant that his colleague will be back in action sooner rather than later.

"I have talked with Eduardo and he is better, he's now running and soon will be back.

"In three months he should be playing again, God willing."
