The Hammers are lucky to still be level with City after the Sky Blues created all the chances in the first half at the City of Manchester Stadium. Robert Green, Calum Davenport and even the post saved Alan Curbishley's side from what could have been a 3-0 drubbing.

Unfortunately for Curbs, he lost Carlton Cole to injury and also had Mark Noble sent off in the 37th minute, the midfielder lunging recklessly to get his second yellow card of the day and an early shower.
