Arsenal 3-0 Newcastle United (29-01-2008)
Just four days after being hammered by the same opposition in the FA Cup, a rampant Arsenal showed no mercy to then new boss Kevin Keegan as Emmanuel Adebayor opened the floodgates in the 40th minute before Mathieu Flamini's pile-driver saw Arsenal coast ahead. Nicklas Bendtner added a third late into the game to send Keegan home without a first win since moving into the hotseat.
Bolton Wanderers 2-0 West Bromwich Albion (23-10-2005)
With the Baggies surviving to stay above the relegation places during the 2005-2006 season, a crisp Hidetoshi Nakata strike and another goal from Bolton skipper Kevin Nolan condemned West Brom to defeat and closer to the relegation mire.
Everton3-1 Portsmouth (02-03-2008)
A Yakubu goal after just 50 seconds appeared to have set the tone for the Toffees, but Jermaine Defoe hauled the visitors back into the game with a close range effort after 38 minutes. Everton though regained the lead with a typical Tim Cahill poacher's goal before Yakubu sealed the deal with a smashing strike.
Football League Two Hull City 1-1 (Wigan Athletic 30-11-1996)
With either side yet to make their competitive bow against each other in the Premier League, the last meeting between the two was a dour 1-1 stalemate in the match played on November 30 1996.
Football League Championship Middlesbrough 0-1 Stoke City (23-08-1997)
Stoke City escaped with all three points in a hard-fought 1-0 victory at the expense of a poor Middlesbrough side on August 23 1997.
West Ham United 2-1 Blackburn Rovers (15-03-2008)
A Roque Santa Cruz goal after 19 minutes saw Rovers draw first blood. West Ham equalized in spectacular fashion 20 minutes later when some sublime Dean Ashton trickery saw him score a beauty. A header by 18-year-old youngster Freddie Sears, who was making his first appearance, helped West Ham sneak a 2-1 win and lift the Upton Park roof off.
Aston Villa 1- 2 Liverpool (11-08-2007)
While all eyes were on Fernando Torres making his league debut, an own goal from Villa defender Martin Laursen saw the Reds take a 1-0 lead, but Jamie Carragher's hand ball in the second half saw skipper Gareth Barry slam home the equalizer. With the match looking set to finish as a draw, up stepped Steven Gerrard who curled in a peach of a free kick to steal the points for the Reds.
Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham Hotspur (12-01-2008)
Another Juliano Belletti wonder strike saw the Blues steal the lead. A lack of cutting edge up front saw Spurs pay the price as Shaun Wright-Phillips sealed the points with a late finish.
Sunderland 1-2 Manchester City (12-04-2008)
Brazilian Elano cracked open a tight match from the penalty spot only after 79 minutes and that was enough to spark a frenzy as Dean Whitehead drew the Black Cats level three minutes later. However, a late strike by substitute Darius Vassell in the 87th minute ensured the Citizens came away with the win.
