Berba: I can handle the heat
Dimitar Berbatov insists that he is not overawed by the huge burden on him to succeed at Manchester United.
The Bulgarian moved to Old Trafford on transfer deadline day in a mind-boggling US$60 deal from Tottenham Hotspur but has yet to find the back of the net so far for his new employers in three matches.
While Berbatov showcased spurts of his old self by producing several moments of magic against Bolton Wanderers in his last outing, the knives are already sharpening on him after his failure to open his United account.
"I have had to handle expectation and pressure throughout my life," the former Bayer Leverkusen hitman told The Sun.
"I'm not scared and that's why I'm here. The most important things are to enjoy myself, help the team to win more trophies and entertain the fans.
"If I do that, if I play like I did at Tottenham, I don't think it will be a problem."
Berbatov added: "I'm at the biggest club in the world and here I can develop in the way I want and that's the most important thing. I really hope I'll be successful here."
