Berbatov to play for United forever
Dimitar Berbatov has revealed that he is more than happy to end his playing days in a Manchester United shirt.
Berbatov, who scored his first goals for the Red Devils against Aalborg in the Champions League on Tuesday, has also dismissed rumours that he is unhappy with his move to Old Trafford, insisting that he is delighted to be a part of Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
"If I am not happy here, I cannot be happy anywhere," Berbatov, a US$60million buy from Tottenham, told the Daily Star newspaper.
"Everything is like Ryan Giggs once said. He was here from the beginning and he doesn't want to be anywhere else. I am here. I don't want to go anywhere else.
"I find myself sitting at home sometimes, thinking: 'Hey, I am at Manchester United!' I am the happiest guy. It is a wonderful thing. But you must keep fighting in every game."
Having opened his United account in the 3-0 win in Denmark, Berbatov is also convinced that he is capable of handling the pressure playing for the Premier League and Champions League holders naturally brings.
"I was relieved (to score), obviously. First of all, I was disappointed to miss my first chance because sometimes in games you get only the one chance," he added.
"It was frustrating but I just kept trying and, of course, in the end I scored two.
"The pressure is always there and I hope I can deal with that with the help of my team-mates.
