Turkish teenager Sercan Yildirim claims Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing him.

The Bursaspor striker is regarded as one of the best young players in Turkey and is already a member of the Turkey Under 21 team.

The 18-year-old is currently Bursaspor's top scorer with four goals in four games and his performances have not gone unnoticed among Europe's top clubs.

Yildirim admits he is flattered to be attracting interest from United and claims they have contacted Bursaspor about his availability.

"United have contacted my family and the president of the club," Yildirim told the Turkish media.

"When a club with their reputation is interested in you, you have to take notice."
