Eugene YS Han looks at the footie statistics that mattered from last weekend's Barclays Premier League action.
1 - Steven Gerrard scored his first away goal in the league in 2008, and his first since he scored in their 2-1 win at Derby on Boxing Day 2007. His previous six league goals before Saturday were all at Anfield. Tottenham’s Fraizer Campbell scored his first Premier League goal in his fifth league appearance.
2 - Gunners goalkeeper Manuel Almunia has saved two of the four penalties he has faced in the league. He also saved from Robbie Keane in Arsenal’s 2-1 home win against Tottenham, Dec 2007. Both of Dimitar Berbatov’s PL goals for Manchester Utd have come at home against promoted teams – he also scored in their 4-0 win against West Brom, Oct 18.
3 - Wigan’s Ryan Taylor scored his fifth league goal – and his third against Newcastle. He has previously scored for Wigan in separate 1-0 home wins over Newcastle in Feb 2007 and Dec 2007. The Latics have had three players sent off this season – equal most in the division with Tottenham and Manchester City.
4 - Referee Andre Marriner sent off Wigan’s Emmerson Boyce for two cautions – he has now given four reds cards in the league this season – only Mike Dean (5) has sent off more players.
5 - Dirk Kuyt has scored five goals in his last seven league matches, and in three of Liverpool’s last four away league games.
6 - Steven Gerrard has now scored six league goals against Bolton – his equal favourite league opposition with Aston Villa, who he has also scored six league goals against.
7 - Michael Owen has scored seven goals in his last nine league matches at St James’ Park.
8 - Nicolas Anelka has scored eight goals in his last four consecutive league matches – his best-ever scoring run in the Premier League. Only once before has he scored in four successive matches – for Manchester City from Jan to March 2004.
9 - Sunderland's Djibril Cisse has scored nine of his last 11 league goals away from home.
10 - League leaders Chelsea have won their last ten successive away league games – equaling the best-ever run in top flight history. Tottenham won ten successive away league matches from April to October 1960.
13 - Arsenal have now lost four of their opening 13 league this season – equaling their Premier League record set 14 years ago in 1994-95.
15 - Aston Villa beat Arsenal for the first time in 20 league meetings, and won at Arsenal for the first time in 15 seasons. It was only Villa's second league win against London clubs in 27 games.
17 - Danny Welbeck became the youngest Premier League goal-scorer in three years and seven months when he scored on his debut at 17 years and 355 days old. He is the youngest since James Vaughan scored in Everton’s 4-0 home league win against Crystal Palace in April 2005 at 16 years and 270 days old.
24 - West Brom goalkeeper Scott Carson has conceded 24 league goals this season – more than any other keeper this season. Over these last three seasons, Carson has conceded 124 league goals for Charlton, Aston Villa and West Brom – the most in the top flight in this time.
25 - West Ham have kept a clean sheet for the first time in 25 league fixtures, stretching back to February.
30 - The Spurs game marked Roy Hodgson's 30th Premier League game in charge. Fulham have ten victories under him so far.
45 - Arsenal’s defeat by Villa was only their third league loss in 45 games at the Emirates, and the first time they have failed to score at home in 30 matches, since losing 1-0 to West Ham in April 2007.
50 - The draw with West Ham marked Portsmouth's 50th in Premier League history.
101 - Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 100th and 101st goals for Manchester Utd – and scored in the tenth successive home league game. He last failed to score in a home match in their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City, February 10. All of Ronaldo’s eight league goals this season have come at home this season, scoring six goals in his last three PL matches at home. He has scored 20 goals in 21 PL appearances at Old Trafford in 2008.
200 - Ledley King made his 200th career league start - all for Tottenham.
250 - John Terry made his 250th Premier League appearance for Chelsea while Wayne Bridge made his 250th career league appearance (Southampton, Chelsea and Fulham).
300 - Robert Green made his 300th league appearance (Norwich and West Ham).
523 - David James recorded his 523rd career Premier League start which is already a record. He needs 12 more games to surpass Gary Speed's all-time total number of appearances of 535.
900 - Victory against Arsenal bought Villa's all-time Premier League points to 900.
