Derby to keep Barazite

Arsenal winger Nacer Barazite is to continue to stay on-loan at Derby County until the end of the season.

The Holland Under-19 international's initial loan spell came to an end following the Rams' home defeat against Ipswich on Sunday.

But Barazite is set to stay at Pride Park and is eligible to play at Forest Green in the FA Cup at the weekend and in the Carling Cup semi-final against Manchester United.

"It is a big boost to have secured Nacer's services for the rest of the season, including the cup matches," said Rams caretaker manager Chris Hutchings. "He is a fantastic talent and has applied himself well since he has been here.

"We are grateful to Arsenal for extending the loan. I think they know he is in very good hands here, at a first-class club."

Barazite has made 19 appearances for Derby, all of them in the Championship, since arriving at Pride Park towards the end of August.
