Fergie: We must be perfect at home
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has told his talented side not to drop another league point at home this season.
With Sunday's crucial Barclays Premier League clash with Chelsea well and truly capturing planet football's attention, Fergie has decreed that he wants a maximum haul from United's eleven remaining top-flight fixtures at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have dropped just two points at home in the league this term - thanks to a 1-1 draw with Newcastle United on the opening day of the campaign - and Ferguson is now determined to turn up the heat on United's rivals as he attempts to land the club's eleventh Premier League title.
"We've come to that situation where our home form is going to be 100 percent in the run-in, we hope," explained the wily Scot.
"These are important games we've got at home against all the main ones.
"We've been away from home to all the top sides already, and we've got them all at home in the second half of the season.
"That will play a part in deciding whether we've a chance of winning this league or not."
Ferguson is well aware, however, of the task ahead, and is expecting Chelsea to provide a stern test on Sunday.
"I don't think there's been much change in the Chelsea team this season," he said.
"Other than the swing in terms of their home and away form, they're still consistent, very difficult to play against and they've got very good players.
"Normally these games against Chelsea are towards March and April, but in the run-in all the games are important.
"We've done well to be in the position we are. We've two games in hand, of course, and that gives us a chance to narrow that gap."
