Man United's walking wounded

Manchester United are facing an injury crisis which is threatening to derail their bid for a clean sweep of trophies.

The European and English champions head into tomorrow's FA Cup clash against Tottenham with a decimated defence and a steadily lengthening injury list.

Here espnstar.com looks at United's roll of absentees which could potentially leave manager Sir Alex Ferguson without 12 first-team players this weekend.

RIO FERDINAND - Has missed United's past eight matches with a back injury but is nearing full fitness.

WES BROWN - Is close to a comeback following ankle surgery in November.

PATRICE EVRA - Sustained a foot injury in the 3-0 Barclays Premier League win over Chelsea and is not likely to return to action until early February.

RAFAEL - Will be sidelined for at least a month after suffering a torn hamstring in Tuesday's Carling Cup victory over Derby.

JONNY EVANS - Limped through the latter stages of Tuesday's game and it has now been revealed he sustained an ankle injury which will keep him out for three weeks.

ANDERSON - Was stretchered off after the final whistle against Derby and, although x-rays revealed he had not broken anything, he will be out of action for three weeks with an ankle injury.

WAYNE ROONEY - Limped off against Wigan last week with a hamstring injury after just eight minutes - having scored less than 60 seconds into the match - and is expected back in early February.

OWEN HARGREAVES - Out for the rest of the season after surgery on both knees.

NANI - Will be sidelined for at least a week after suffering a groin strain against Derby.

PARK JI-SUNG - Set to miss Saturday's game with a hamstring injury.

GARY NEVILLE AND RYAN GIGGS - Both picked up knocks against Derby but could feature this weekend.
