Tevez to get United deal
Argentina striker Carlos Tevez will be offered a permanent deal at Manchester United, according to reports.
The Daily Mirror claims that Tevez is readying himself to put his signature on a deal worth up to £30million, which will end all uncertainty about the player's future.
Tevez's agent, Kia Joorabchian, reportedly held talks with Sir Alex Ferguson after last weekend's 1-0 victory over Everton.
The Argentina international will become a free agent in five months time. Previously, Tevez had told a radio station in his homeland that he is frustrated about not getting a new deal from United.
"I don't know what my future is," he said on Jan 5. "United know what they have to pay if they want me to stay.
"It annoys me that they're beginning to play games with people who cheer me with such affection in every match.
"I want [the supporters] to know I haven't received any offer [from United]. If I have to leave the club, then I want to do it in a good way."
Ferguson was initially not keen to have Tevez on the payroll - following a loss of form and reports over his poor attitude towards the club. But the United boss changed his stance over the player after sterling displays by Tevez after Wayne Rooney was ruled out of action by a hamstring injury.
United are set to offer a three-year contract on £75,0000-a week - a lucrative deal worth £11.7million to the player during his stay at the club.
