Drogba: I'm going nowhere

Drogba: I'm going nowhere

Didier Drogba has told Guus Hiddink that he wants to remain a Chelsea player and help the club thrive once again.

In recent weeks, the ace striker has been linked with moves away to a whole host of leading clubs, but despite the constant reports that he is on his way out of Stamford Bridge the Ivory Coast international is adamant that remains committed to the Chelsea cause.

"I am happy with everyone here and want to be a Chelsea player," Drogba told the Sun newspaper.

"I want people to stop talking about me going back to Marseille or going to Inter Milan.

"When Jose Mourinho left I was unhappy but that is past now and I am allowed to change my mind.

Drogba's current deal runs out at the end of this season, and the 30-year-old - who was heavily linked with Inter Milan last year - is keen to sign a brand new deal and win trophies under new Blues boss Guus Hiddink.

"I want to stay until the end of my contract. I love the fans.

"My family love it here and we want to stay. There have been no talks about extending my deal but there is time for that.

"I would stay if they offered me a new deal.

"I know that first I need to show I am still the Didier Drogba this club knows."

"I was supposed to have met an Inter director at a restaurant next to Stamford Bridge and that's not true.

"With Chelsea, I'm with one of the best teams in the world.

"The only trophy we are missing is the Champions League and I want to win it with Chelsea and bring it back to the Bridge."
