Roman: We hate Berba at Spurs
Tottenham striker Roman Pavyluchenko has claimed that Dimitar Berbatov will not be welcome if he returns to the club.
Pavyluchenko has launched into another tirade at the Manchester United striker, saying that the former Spurs stalwart treats people shabbily at the club. He criticised Berbatov for being an elitis, despite having only arrived at White Hart Lane in January to replace him.
In an interview with Gazeta Daily, where Pavyluchenko was asked to compare the ex-Bayern Leverkusen striker and Robbie Keane, the Russia forward instead took a swipe at Berbatov.
"Robbie Keane returned to Spurs as if he never left the club," said Pavlyuchenko."It's evident that he's a man of authority inside the team which is good for us. He was always liked as far as I can judge.
"If Berbatov returned it would be taken quite differently. I heard tales that he was an arrogant snob who after a training session would just throw his dirty boots to the man who takes care of our footwear saying: 'Clean them for me!'
"No one likes such people."
But Pavlyuchenko will be eating the words out of his own mouth, as United clinched the Carling Cup on the weekend.
