Hyypia: I'm glad we Kop-ed it!

Sami Hyypia said the 4-1 drubbing of Manchester United at Old Trafford was the best moment of his Liverpool career.

The emphatic win has reignited Liverpool's hopes of winning the Premier League title, despite a four-point deficit and the fact that United have a game in hand. And Hyypia believes the feat can be achieved after hist-team rallied together to clinch a famous victory over the Red Devils.

The 35-year-old veteran defender told The Sun: "We knew the United game was really important to win because if we'd lost it then the title would have been gone.

"It will still be really difficult for us even though we are now closer to the top. But at least we have closed the gap a little and we will see what happens from here.

"The one thing I can definitely say is we will keep fighting until the end. If we didn't believe we may as well stop the season now.

"We have to do our best and win our games and maybe United will drop points and we can take advantage. We want to finish really well and pick up as many points as we can to get the highest place in the league."

The Finn has spent 10 seasons at Anfield - winning the cup treble in 2001, as they lifted tje UEFA, FA and Carling Cup trophies. And within four days, Hyypia has witnessed his side hammer Real Madrid 4-0 in the Champions League and trashing United in the Premier League. He believes the results are a testament to his team's never-say-die attitude.

Hyypia added: "You have to keep calm and stick to your game plan.

"We had to win so going behind did not change the way we played. Fortunately, we got the equaliser very quickly after they scored."
