Eugene YS Han takes stock of a pivotal weekend while pushing for Mark Schwarzer to be named 'keeper of the season.
HEROES
LIVERPOOL
When Liverpool win and three of their closest rivals lose, it means a good weekend for the Anfield side. Liverpool fans will be cheered by Manchester United's slip-up at Fulham, Chelsea's defeat at White Hart Lane and Everton's setback caused by former Red Peter Crouch. The resurgent Reds picked up yet another big win and now the title race is suddenly alive - just. There's no doubt that Liverpool not only have had the rub of the green in the last three games, they also had Steven Gerrard whose touch has turned anything into gold (or goals in this case). The worry next for the Reds is that the international break could hurt their revival. With the momentum firmly on their side, Liverpool players will be chomping at the bit to play their next league game immediately. But a long break might, just might, slow them down a little.

FULHAM
Fulham did what the neutrals wanted - a team that tries to win when facing one of the big boys. After recording their first-ever away win in the league two weeks ago, Fulham followed that up with a famous upset of reigning champions Manchester United. Roy Hodgson is a manager who has seen it all including bringing Switzerland to the 1994 World Cup finals and the 1996 European Championships. Even he might be forgiven for giving a faint smile at the final whistle. This victory also meant the Cottagers celebrated a home win over Man United for the first time since 1946. Jimmy Hill must be very proud. Liverpool are next up for Fulham.
MARK SCHWARZER
Mark Schwarzer lived up to espnstar.com's ING Man-to-watch (for the Asian WC Qualifiers) when he almost single-handedly stopped Manchester United scoring at Craven Cottage. While Danny Murphy and Zoltan Gera did the damage at the other end, Schwarzer did his part at the other. The most notable save/s he made were the incredible double saves from Park Ji-Sung and Wayne Rooney. He was simply out-of-this-world.
TOTTENHAM
It's not 'Three Points Lane' any more - well to Chelsea fans anyway. Spurs' win over Chelsea was only their second one in 38 league meetings against their rivals from West End. Amazingly, Spurs have not lost to any of the 'Top Four' so far in the league this season and they could have a huge say in the title race between Man United and Liverpool. Instead of worrying about relegation, Tottenham can now aim for a respectable top-eight finish. Spurs have not taken the final curtain call for this season - just yet.

Beware England - the 'Croatian Cruyff' is back in business!

OLD BIG 'EAD
The late Brian Clough would have been 74 on Saturday.
MAN UNITED
The lack of composure of the reigning champions were again lacking for the second straight game. It seems that Sir Alex Ferguson's side has not gotten rid of last week's shock defeat out of their systems. The pressure of the title race also looked like affecting the players. Some observers thought United were not playing their best these past two months but they have managed to scrap through most of the games. But in the last two league games, they seemed to have been found out. Ferguson's team selection also seems flawed. United squad strength is second to none in the BPL but with it comes a curse as well. Who should they play? Who should they leave on the bench? By chopping and changing, it meant the United players were unable to form any meaningful partnerships. Other than Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand in defence - there are no partnerships elsewhere on the pitch. In contrast, Chelsea have partnerships like John Terry-Ricardo Carvalho; Michael Essien-Frank Lampard while for Liverpool, there're Fernando Torres-Steven Gerrard; Xabi Alonso-Javier Mascherano, just to name a few. Man United still have a great squad and they are still in the driving seat to their record 18th league title. But the sooner Ferguson decide on a fixed eleven the better for United's successes this season.
CHELSEA
The honeymoon is over for Guus Hiddink. Chelsea had a great chance to gain ground on Manchester United as well as keep pace with Liverpool but they failed at 'Three Points Lane' - a ground they frequently won at. Tottenham's players were more motivated for the game while some of Chelsea's super stars did not shine as expected. Michael Ballack still looks like a misfit in the Chelsea midfield while Florent Malouda looks like a cheap imitation of his old Lyon-self. Just where has the explosive French winger, who scored 25 goals in 125 matches for Lyon, gone to? The only things exploding are the Chelsea fans' tempers whenever they see Malouda play for the Blues.
ASTON VILLA
Martin O'Neill must be cursing March Madness - Aston Villa have not won their last 15 matches in the month of March. Their slide in form allowed Arsenal to overtake them in the race for fourth, prompting ESPN STAR Sports' Steve McMahon to say "Villa have bottled in". For the Liverpool game, it was down to John Carew and Emile Heskey to lead the line in Gabriel Agbonlahor's absence. Villa played well in patches but otherwise lacked the killer touch that could have pegged back Liverpool at Anfield. Heskey looked past it while the goals from midfield has dried up alarmingly. The less said about their defence the better. Villa are definitely missing Martin Laursen and even his return is not guaranteed to revive their flagging fortunes. At least, Villa have had a great league record in April for the last 12 years, Arsenal should not take their position for granted - just yet.
MIDDLESBROUGH
Only one win in their last 18 league games with eight more to go. It's relegation form and curtains for Boro.
