Charlton tells Fergie and Rafa to shut it

Man United legend Sir Bobby Charlton has told Sir Alex Ferguson and Rafael Benitez to end their public row.

He fears that their row may cause damage to both club's reputations.

Charlton was told Sky Sports News at a fund-raising event for Manchester's new children's hospital that the row has 'gone a little bit too far' and he will 'hate for someone to say something really outrageous'.

Ferguson had tried to raise the stakes in the mind games between him and Benitez by calling Benitez arrogant and showing disrepect to other clubs.

Despite the media circus involving the managers, Charlton feels United can stay focused and sweep the League and Champions League titles.
