TITLES AND MONEY

2 - Manchester United are the first club to claim two hat-tricks of English top-flight titles.

2 - Liverpool became the first club in top-flight history to lose two games all season and not win the title.

18 - Manchester United have equalled Liverpool's record of 18 English top-flight titles.

11 - Sir Alex Ferguson secured his 11th English league title and the 14th domestic league championship of his managerial career.

31 - Sir Alex Ferguson is the most successful manager in English and Scottish football with 31 major titles (excluding the World Club Championship).

24 - West Brom became the 24th side to be relegated from the Premier League the season after promotion.

APPEARANCES

7 - This was the first season that clubs were allowed to name seven substitutes on the bench instead of five.

26 - Rotation master Sir Alex Ferguson has used the most number of players as substitutes.

34 - Manchester City have used 34 players this season - more than any other club.

21 - Aston Villa used the least number of players.

61 - Aston Villa used the least number of substitutes as compared to other clubs this season.

100 - Nwankwo Foluwashola Kanu became the first player to make 100 league appearances as a substitute when he came on for Portsmouth against Blackburn on May 7.

190 - Aston Villa's Brad Freidel has made a record-breaking 190 consecutive Premier League appearances.

8 - Liverpool have done the double over eight clubs: Manchester United, Chelsea, Bolton, Blackburn, Portsmouth, Sunderland, Newcastle and West Brom.

77 - Blackburn Rovers collected the most yellow cards this season.

7 - Liverpool have the most number of opposing players sent off against them.

6 - Six of them were on Xabi Alonso - Nemanja Vidic, Tim Cahill, Pablo Zabaleta, Antonio Valencia, Frank Lampard, Joey Barton.

8 - Newcastle's number of red cards this season - more than any other club.

5 - Newcastle used the most number of penalty-takers this season.

337 - Stoke took the most number of long throw-ins.

267 - Rory Delap took 267 long throws - that's 189 more than the nearest player this season.

3 - Blackburn missed the highest number of penalties in the league.

7 - Blackburn and Manchester City won the most number of penalties this season.

12 - Hull conceded 12 goals from corners - more than any other club.

10 - Hull scored the most goals from corners.

DEFENCE

7 - Bolton allowed more headed goals than any other side in the Premier League.

9 - Newcastle United conceded the most number of penalties.

167 - Wigan's Lee Cattermole made the most number of tackles.

80% - Fulham's Mark Schwarzer made the highest percentage of saves against number of shots faced in the Premier League.

149 - Jussi Jaaskelainen made the most number of saves.

CLEAN SHEETS

10 - Man City have won all ten league games when they kept clean sheets.

14 - Manchester United set the record for number of most consecutive clean sheets from November 2008 to Ferbuary 2009.

24 - Manchester United kept the most number of clean sheets.

15 - Tim Howard broke Neville Southall's record of 15 clean sheets in a single Premier League season (1995-96) by an Everton keeper.

GOALS

942 - The total number of goals scored this season is the second lowest in Premier League history.

24 - Both Manchester United and Chelsea share the lowest number of goals conceded this season. They also scored the same number of goals - 68.

77 - Liverpool have scored the most number of goals this season.

9 - Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool all had nine goals scored by substitutes.

6 - Cristiano Ronaldo is the top-scorer - when it comes to goals scored from outside the box.

6 - There were six players who scored hat-tricks this season - Gabriel Agbonlahor against Man City, Emanuel Adebayor against Blackburn, Robinho against Stoke City, Nicolas Anelka against Sunderland, Steven Gerrard against Aston Villa, Andrei Arshavin (4) against Liverpool.

4 - Andrei Arshavin is the only player to score four goals this season. He is also the first player in BPL history to score four and not be on the winning side.

5 - Didier Drogba has now scored in all of his five domestic finals.

20 - Frank Lampard has scored more than 20 goals in each of his last four seasons at Chelsea.

31 - Top-flight games at Tottenham's White Hart Lane have produced fewer goals than any other ground (31 - 21 for, 10 against).

10 - Tottenham also set a new club record of conceding the fewest goals at home in a season - ten.

108 - Premier League matches involving Manchester City have yielded more goals than any other club (108 - 58 for, 50 against),

7 - Portsmouth's Peter Crouch scored the most number of goals from headers.

0 - Manchester City remain the only club this season not to register a goalless draw. City have also become the first club since Liverpool in 1963-64 to go through an entire top-flight season without a home draw.

6 - Manchester City's 6-0 win over Portsmouth at the City of Manchester was the season's biggest winning margin.

1 - Valeri Bojinov scored his first goal for Manchester City since he joined them on 3rd August, 2007.

5 - Aston Villa took the most advantage from own-goals this season.

6 - Middlesbrough scored six own goals - more than any other club this season.

248 - Chelsea made the most number of shots this season.

57 - Frank Lampard had more shots than any other Premier League player.

10 - Frank Lampard and Robin van Persie made the most assists this season.

3 - Liverpool have the most number of players who have scored ten or more goals this season.

8 - Liverpool had eight different players who scored from outside the box.

5 - Sunderland have only five players who scored more than once this season.

9 - Stoke scored the most number of goals from throw-ins.

10 - Bolton scored 10 goals from free-kicks - the most in the league.

31 - Aston Villa's Steve Sidwell has scored the fastest goal in this season's Premier League; netting after only 31 seconds of their 2-3 win over Everton at Goodison on 7 December.

95 - Carlton Cole scored the ‘latest' goal this season at 90+4 minutes and 56 seconds for West Ham United against Blackburn on 30 August 2008.

59 - West Bromwich Albion's Hawthorns ground saw 59 goals scored this season - the most on any ground.

POINTS

11 - Chelsea set a new Premier League record of 11 straight away wins between April and December 2008.

21 - In 21 league games under Guus Hiddink, Chelsea have won 11, drawn one and lost one of the 11 Premier League matches under the Dutchman.

50 - Manchester United have the best home record with 50 points won at Old Trafford.

86 - Liverpool recorded their highest points tally in their Premier League history.

22 - Liverpool have won the most number of points from losing positions this season.

44 - Chelsea have the best away record with 44 points won.

23 - Sunderland have lost the most number of points from winning positions.

10 - Stoke recorded the least number of away points in the Premier League.

OTHER

6 - In honour of the 50th anniversary of Bobby Moore's debut, West Ham permanently retire the No. 6 shirt.

24 - Gareth Bale has not experienced a single league victory after 24 games for Tottenham.

20 - Hull took 20 points from their first nine games this season but just 15 from their last 29 games.
