Gunners target Lorik Cana
English giants Arsenal are hoping to land the services of Marseille's captain Lorik Cana.
The Gunners have missed the boat to bolster their midfield with Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo extending his contract with Fiorentina.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will look to Cana to be their new midfield enforcer in the mould of Patrick Vieira.
Speaking to The Daily Express, Cana seems ready for a possible transfer:"The door remains open for a departure, even with three years remaining on my contract.
"I will talk with my family and my representatives. It will then depend on what I want to do.
"Of the possible destinations in the future, England and Germany are the two leagues that attract me the most," added the 25-year-old.
Other clubs that have been linked with the Albanian ace are Tottenham Hotspur and Hamburg, with the German side the only one to have cast an official bid, offering €5 million.
Cana has made 121 appearances and scored six goals for Marseille since he joined the side in 2005.
