Everton or Villa for Owen
Newcastle's Michael Owen has signalled his intention to leave the club and desire to play for Everton and Aston Villa.
Both the Blues and the Villans have yet to make him an offer, but the Newcastle United striker remains optimistic and expects an offer from them in the near future.
According to The Independent, between the two, Owen would favour a move to Goodison Park over Villa.
With his contract expired, Owen is officially a free agent from Wednesday onwards.
Clubs that have shown a definite interest in him are Stoke City, Hull City and Olympiakos, the 29-year-old, however, only considers them as back-up options.
Owen has only managed 26 goals in 71 appearances for his four seasons with Newcastle.
A fading star famously known to be injury-prone, Owen would be wise to keep his options open.
