Mancini eyes Premier League

Former Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini is targeting a return to management and is keen on the Barclays Premier League.

Mancini, who was sacked by Inter at the beginning of last summer despite leading them to their third scudetto on the trot, has been out of a job for the past year.

The 44-year-old has been linked with Sunderland, Chelsea, West Ham and Manchester City in the past 12 months, while Portsmouth is the latest club reportedly interested in his services.

And Mancini, who spent several months at Leicester in 2001, admits he would love a return to England.

"I think I have always worked very well, not only at Inter but also at Lazio, at Fiorentina... I believe I am one of the best, that's for sure," he told Sky Italia.]

"My aim is to go and have an experience abroad, in what league I don't know, maybe the English one, mainly because I think the English league is very nice, it's a league where everyone enjoys themselves."

Mancini also insists that it would not matter to him how much money a prospective team had for transfers.

"That is not important, because someone who does my work enjoys doing it, so it's not said that they have to definitely be fighting for the title," he said.
