Terry and Ancelotti to ‘talk football’

Chelsea captain John Terry is reportedly set for a meeting with boss Carlo Ancelotti, and will discuss footballing matters only.

Terry has been in the spotlight recently due to transfer rumours linking the defender to Manchester City, who are willing to break the bank in an attempt to buy their way to a Premier League title.

The Blues skipper was originally due to meet with Ancelotti earlier in the week, with some club insiders claiming that it was of the ‘showdown and ultimatum' variety, as Terry aims to sign a new deal with Chelsea.

A statement from Chelsea has rubbished the claims though, as the club insists that talks between their captain and coach are normal at this time of the year, to iron out the direction of the club.

The Blues are adamant that the duo "will be talking football only, they will not be talking contracts."

Ancelotti has also gone on record to say that there are "no problems" between him and his skipper.

Chelsea have also revealed that Terry will stay at Stamford Bridge for the remainder of the three years left on his current contract.

Terry has not commented on the situation.
