"KOP comes to Asia 2009" tour

Liverpool Football Club to see the sights of Singapore when they visit the Lion City later in July.

And what sights you will see on the 25th of July when five-time European champions Liverpool Football Club set sail at 1:30pm for a river tour, prior to their final big match against the Singapore National Team which marks the end of the historic "KOP comes to Asia 2009" tour.

The river cruise in three eye catching boats, will offer a brief respite from the teams hectic schedule and allow them to appreciate and understand some of the history and important events that make Singapore one of Asia's most vibrant cities.

Organised by Strategic Sports Investments, a Profitable Group company, who are responsible for the "KOP comes to Asia 2009" tour, SSI are ensuring that they keep their commitment to showcase the team to their fans and to the public alike.

Commercial Director Steve McMahon said " As well as being about world class football, this tour is designed to show Liverpool the extraordinary support that the Club and the Game has in Singapore and to give them a true Singapore welcome. We want as many people as possible to enjoy a grass roots experience of this event and to share with the Club and local fans alike the true passion that lives in Singapore for the Game".

The cruise, past Boat Quay and Clark Quay will be memorable for all and especially for the team as local restaurants join in the event with fun and activities as well as a community singing of "You'll Never Walk Alone" as the boats cruise down the river, to mark Liverpool's time in Singapore.

Liverpool's Club official said "We are really excited to be visiting Singapore as part of the "KOP comes to Asia 2009" and the team are looking forward to enjoying their time here. As well as playing exciting football, any opportunity that we have to share our time with our fans in Singapore and to show our appreciation for their support over the years will be welcomed."

After the river cruise, the team will be in preparation for the big match on 26th of July, with a morning training session prior to kick of at 7:00pm.
